Seminar for theater artists “Theater Costumes: From Idea to Realization”
The Union invited Alia Baitenova, set designer, costume designer at the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theater, and production designer at the T. Shevchenko Chernihiv Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater, to share her experience. She took on the role of creative curator for the seminar “Theatrical Costume: From Idea to Realization.”
The common goal of the sixteen artists was to find their “own starting point,” maximize their skills, and understand how to gain the necessary authority. They practiced as much as they studied theory: during the training, they created 16 sketches of Hamlet's costume in the styles of cyberpunk, grunge, kitsch, futurism, and steampunk.
